Proxy Product Owner

N-iX is looking for a Proxy Product Owner for our Data Team to work with our customer which is a proven leader in global commerce, offering billing and payment solutions as well as subscription management. The ideal candidate will drive the implementation of best practices for design, architecture, and the execution of high-performance, scalable, and optimized data solutions for internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for two teams and collaborate closely with our respective on-site Product Owner. While the on-site Product Owners focuses on stakeholder management and the definition of business requirements, the roadmap, and epics, you, as a Proxy PO, focus on the technical implementation with the team. Both roles work closely together and align daily.

Responsibilities:

• You have a demonstrable track record as a great (Proxy) Product Owner and develop products with a passion that our internal and external customers need, regularly use, and love
• As a Proxy PO, you collaborate with our on-site Product Owners to obtain stakeholder information. The on-site Product Owner provides epics, the roadmap, and a corresponding prioritization
• You own the delivery of your development team by constantly prioritizing the user stories within your backlog against the value and defining compelling sprints
• You work in our Community of Practice (CoP) with other Product Owners as a thought leader to take our product development to the next level and share your knowledge and experience in this group through coaching, training and publications
• You collaborate closely with our Data Engineering Team to understand current-state data schemas and data models then contribute to defining future-state data schema, models and flow
• You provide input in each cycle of the development phase (develop, test, and release) to ensure we produce a ‘first-in-class’ solution, and we continually learn and evolve, adapting to changing business landscapes
• You will drive to establish a process for documenting data models, data schemas, lineages, and data dictionaries across the data stores of our project
• Provide mentorship and recommendations on the current and emerging data strategies and platform trends to our team of data engineers and scientists

 Requirements:

• Experiences as a Product Owner for 3+ years (either as an individual contributor or in a consulting position)
• A proven record of taking cloud-based data solutions into production
• In-depth experience of understanding the agile software development principles and techniques
• Fluent communication in English (upper-intermediate and above)
• Proficient communication & presentation style
• Having successfully applied technical skills to solve a business problem

Would be a plus:

• Experience as a former software developer is an advantage
• AWS, Redshift, Athena, S3, EMR, Snowflake
• E-commerce industry knowledge and experience
• Knowledge in statistics and understanding of machine learning algorithms
• Data visualization experience, exposure to the UI/UX field
• In-depth experience with SaaS platforms and integrations into core systems
• University degree in business information systems, computer science, or similar
• Communication in German
